Welcome to the Home Page of the GlobeRiders 2023 Muscat to München Adventure's Live!Journal!
Twenty-three years ago, I contacted MIR Corporation in Seattle and proposed a collaboration for a motorcycle tour starting in Tokyo, Japan, and ending in München, Germany. We were on the forefront of long-distance motorcycle Adventuring at that time and that was just the beginning.
Fast forward to today, 23 years later, and we are once again making tracks where few motorcycle Adventure companies have ventured.
As the latest iteration of that collaboration. The Muscat to München Adventure covers twenty countries and 20,000Km in 72 days.
With a big thank you to MIR Corporation and our brave riders this will be another incredible ride. Some of the area we are riding are palces that we have not been to before, a scenario very similar to what we were up against on the first ride in 2000.
Thank you for taking the time to check in with us and please understand that our top priority is to enjoy the ride and take in as much of the experiences as we can. When we have the time and energy, we will write a few stories and post some pictures so you too can take part in this adventure. Stay tuned and enjoy the Ride.
This Muscat to München Adventure's Live!Journal will consists of four Chapters:
- A new Chapter page will be added to this website as soon as we get enough material from the riders. Each Chapter will consist of stories and photos from the road, submitted by participants en route, a sort of travel blog (or travelog) if you will. Chapter Navigation Menus at the top and bottom of each page allow you to quickly jump from one page of the Live!Journal to another.
- When each new Chapter is "published" to the website, we'll send an email newsletter Dispatch, informing subscribers to our newsletters that new content is available in the Live!Journal. Each Dispatch will contain a photo and short summary of the week, and click-able links that will take viewers directly to the relevant Chapters or other pages on our website.
Our Live!Journal gives those of you who couldn't join us this year, to include family and friends of the participants, the opportunity to take a "virtual" tour with us. It also captures and preserves the tour for our participants, creating a scrapbook of their adventure on the web that they can refer to for years to come.
